Life Balance Inspiration and Motivation for your community... and your staff:
Balancing Life in Your ‘War Zones’
100 little babies lay three and four to a cardboard box, strapped in the belly of a gutted cargo jet. Saigon was falling to the communists - - and LeAnn was “accidentally” caught up in the Vietnam Orphan Airlift. An ordinary person, she struggled through extraordinary circumstances, and found the courage to succeed. In this poignant, yet humorous keynote, LeAnn uses fantastic photos and stories from the Vietnam Orphan Airlift to motivate audiences and gives them tools to balance their lives, truly live their priorities, and make a difference in the world.
What’s This Generation Coming To?
“Generational tensions” is ranked among the top major issues today. This decade is the first time in American history that four different generations are working side-by-side...and still trying to get along at home. In this fun, entertaining, highly educational session, people learn the history, traits, and values of the four generations and identify ways to relate to, manage, and even appreciate the differences. This information is critical to better understand the people we live and work with. It decreases negativity, resentment and turnover in the workplace and increases cooperation, retention and productivity. Then together, we can take care of each other...which is the common goal of all.
Chicken Soup for the Woman’s Soul: Can I Care for Me and Everybody Else?
Often women are so busy saving the children, saving the whales, and saving the world, they forget to save themselves! In this fun, informative motivational session, LeAnn shares stories from her 10 Chicken Soup for the Soul books and gives women tools to CARE 4 ME too. While wiping tears of laughter and sentiment, women will be empowered to make decisions that impact their health and their families. Renewed, recharged, and respected, they will care for themselves AND everybody else!
Chicken Soup for the Caregiver’s Soul or “How Long Can I Keep This Up?”
While rewarding, care-giving requires tremendous emotional, physical, and spiritual stamina, making burnout an everyday challenge. In Chicken Soup for the Caregiver’s Soul LeAnn offers remedies by encouraging professional and family caregivers to care for themselves as devotedly as they do others, with her simple CARE 4 ME strategies. By sharing stories from Chicken Soup for the Caregiver’s Soul and her own life experiences, LeAnn renews caregivers, filling them with hope, courage, and strength plus honors them for the difference they make in the world.
Chicken Soup for the Nurse’s Soul, Second Dose, or “I Didn’t Even Stop to Go to the Bathroom!”
Most nurses didn’t choose their careers because of the great hours, pay, and working conditions! LeAnn reminds them why they entered the profession - and why they stay. By sharing Chicken Soup stories, and those from her own 30+ years of nursing, LeAnn increases recruitment and retention as she encourages, uplifts, and honors nurses. Encouraging them to balance their lives, she offers specific tools to nurture their bodies, minds, and spirits so they can care for themselves as attentively as they do others. With love and humor, LeAnn re-energizes them, making them the heroes during these challenging times. Twenty percent of nurses leave their jobs because of stress, which affects morale, staffing ratios, and your bottom line. Help your nurses stay happy, healthy and hopeful so they will sign on and stay on!

What They're Saying
Your moving tales of endurance and courage provided insight and encouragement to those who feel the stresses of life. I greatly appreciated your relevant reminder that care for others starts with care for yourself. Your easy to follow, well organized speaking style enabled the audience to take with them tools for healthy living.
Tammy Spencer, RN, MS, University of Colorado, Denver Hospitals
Our participants were absolutely blown away by your presentation “Balancing Your Life in a War Zone” and your closing presentation “Chicken Soup for the Nurses Soul.” The evaluations were “off the chart” excellent. As a meeting planner, you were a dream to work with. I can hardly say thank you enough. I’m writing the contract to have you back next year.
Linda MowBray, Kansas Healthcare Association
The staff was re-energized for the profession and further dedicated to our organization after you presented. Not only did you fill us with laughter, bring us to tears, but also equipped us with the tools to successfully balance work and personal life.

It was very rewarding to see the number of people in your audience who were spellbound. The collective impact of your powerful messages was summed up by the woman who said, “You touched each and every person in this room. I will be a better person from this moment on because of you!”
Steve Quade, VP Business & Hospitality Service,. Door County Memorial Hospital
LeAnn literally pulled the audience into her journey and left participants with the clear message that while serving children and others they can make a difference with their efforts. Conference participants connected with her, and in a most sincere and generous way, LeAnn connected with them.
D.T. Texas Association of School Boards
I’ve been to most of the banquets for over 30 years and I have never been more impressed than I was with LeAnn. Even James Earl Jones and Dianne Sawyer (past speakers) couldn’t hold a candle to LeAnn!
