Launched nearly nine years ago as a best practice to build women's volumes at LeHigh Valley Hospital in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Spirit of Women Hospital Network is a national coalition of hospitals and healthcare facilities in over 55 U.S. cities joined together to advance the cause and business of women's health.

Individual hospitals can join the national Spirit of Women network for an annual fee. Member hospitals are guaranteed Spirit franchise exclusivity in their market area defined by zip codes.

Spirit member hospitals also commit to meeting at least 50% of the Spirit of Women National Standards for Excellence in Women's Health within their first two years of membership.

Spirit of Women membership activities help to focus a hospital's community outreach and marketing efforts on:

A comprehensive work plan and detailed monthly timeline are produced each year of membership that integrates Spirit of Women programming with best practices at member hospitals. Specific measurable objectives are set and met. Return-on-investment metrics are jointly developed.
