July 1, 2009 – Spirit of Women Health Network announces that July brings a robust Spirit of Women National Executive Meeting and new hospital members, representing a 30% annual growth of in the health network.

Memorial Hospital (York, PA) Kaleida Health System (Buffalo NY) Saint Vincent Health System (Erie, PA) Frye Regional Medical Center (Hickory, NC) today officially join the 80 medical centers and hospitals that comprise Spirit of Women network.  As for all members, their alliance with Spirit will allow them to drive health action for women and their families by drawing on the strength and support of the national network to focus on community needs. 

On July 9 – 11 in Washington DC, more than 200 hospital CEOs, executives and medical professionals from more than 80 cities and communities across the country are coming together with advocacy partners and government representatives to share best practices and strategic concepts aimed at reaching and educating women healthcare consumers as part of the 2009 Spirit of Women National Executive Meeting to address concerns related to women’s health issues in light of reform efforts. The growing importance of preventative care and quality of life concerns, the inherent challenges of weighing the value of technology, and diversity’s impact on today’s healthcare, as well as discussions surrounding the challenges in treating some of the countries leading conditions such as diabetes, will be of addressed.  Click here for more www.spiritofwomen.org/nem
